Since 1998, Hyundai Hope on Wheels has been a driving force in the fight against childhood cancer, becoming one of the largest funders of paediatric cancer research in the U.S.A.
Now, for the first time, this life-changing initiative is expanding globally, starting right here in Canada.

Hyundai and its dealerships across Canada believe children deserve so much more. More time to play, more dreams to chase and a future free of paediatric cancer.
Each year, around 1,000 Canadian children are diagnosed with this devastating disease. While research has made progress, cancer remains the second leading cause of death among children between the age of 1 and 14. Heartbreakingly, one in six children do not survive. That’s why we established Hyundai Hope on Wheels.
Every hand is a beacon of hope.
A handprint is deeply personal and as unique as the child who made it. At Hyundai Hope on Wheels, these handprints tell powerful stories of love, hope and recovery in the fight against childhood cancer.
Whether it’s finishing a round of chemo, watching beautiful new hair grow in or receiving a clean bill of health, each milestone is a reason to celebrate.
That’s why the handprint is our symbol. It represents the unique journey of every child, reminding us of the progress we’ve made and the work still to be done.
At our events, we honour these brave children through our signature “Handprint Ceremony.” Children paint their hands and leave their mark on Hyundai vehicles, which then travel across the country, spreading awareness in a burst of colour and hope.
Together, these handprints are a vibrant reminder that every child’s fight is meaningful and that hope is critical to keep the fight against this disease going.

Through Hyundai Hope on Wheels, we’re proud to commit over $4 million to support kids battling cancer at pediatric oncology centres across Canada.
This year, our efforts include a groundbreaking research grant of $1,000,000 to The Hospital for Sick Children (SickKids) in Toronto, the largest pediatric oncology centre in Canada.
Hope has four wheels and a big heart.
